Cary City is an Invitational meet that takes place on Saturday, July 13.- an opportunity to gather several Cary-area swim clubs at Scottish Hills Swim Club for one huge meet.  For all swim clubs invited, registration is open to ALL team members.

The coaches hope that every swimmer will participate and support the team.

Bring all the things you would typically bring to a regular dual meet. The team rents a large tent and a good time will be had by all.

Please plan on signing up! This meet is a great opportunity to get best times and engage in friendly competition with a wide-range of swimmers. Let’s work together to continue strong involvement in this community-building endeavor.

Part of what makes the Cary City Meet special is the emphasis on themes & fun. Most teams go all decorating & wearing costumes or clothing that go along with their team's theme.  

Teams will also decorate there tent area with all kinds of things & often provide gift/grab bags to exchange with other competing teams.  

Guidelines

• Each swimmer may swim in up to 3 individual events and 2 relays (6-and-unders may only swim 2 individual events)
• Six-and-under must swim the entire 25 yards.
• The day is split into halves; 10-and-under typically swim in the morning while 11-and-ups swim in the afternoon.

Relays

As with all meets, relays will be chosen by the coaching staff. The composition and order of relays are subject to change by the coaching staff during the course of the meet as situations may necessitate. Any special circumstances which call for partial participation in the invitational meet should be discussed in writing with the coaching staff well in advance. Those who attend their entire session will be given preference for relays in situations when warranted

Entry Fees

Declare now, pay later. Entry fees will be paid prior to deadline in July. You can change your commitment/declaration before then.

Volunteers

Parents/family members of volunteers may be asked to volunteer in some capacity, similar to a summer swim meet. Our team will be allotted rolls to fill based on our attendance number. Please take this into consideration when you register.

SIGN UP WILL OPEN IN JUNE or EARLY JULY

We will set-up our tents at Scottish Hills and decorate them to the nines the evening of Friday, July 12. 

We will be looking for as many of our older swimmers as possible to contribute, as well as a team of adults.
