Welcome to the 2023 Season!

The Walden Creek Swim Team is a 100% volunteer run organization. Outside of our coaches, we are all volunteers. In order for the swim season to happen, everyone must help out. It takes at least 58 volunteers from our team to run a home meet and at least 44 for an away meet. It takes over 350 volunteer jobs to make an entire season happen. We appreciate your willingness to help and share the responsibilities.

As part of your registration for the Walden Creek Wahoos, your family will be required to sign up for jobs to earn at least 6 volunteer points over the course of the summer swim season. These points are monitored to assure our swim team community can, together, run a successful season for our children. (These points do not carry over into following years.)

We will be splitting most of the jobs into 2 shifts again this year, so that most parents can watch at least half of every meet. Each half of meet job, will earn 1 point. A few jobs will be worth 2 points, because they will require you to serve for the entire meet. Every family will be required to earn at least 6 points, though you are welcome to earn more than 6 points! For every point over 6, your name will be entered into a raffle at the banquet to earn prizes!

We are asking all families to plan help at the Mock Meet as a way to train for future meets and help train new families. You will be assigned a job at the mock meeting according to the jobs you have signed up for throughout the season.

You are welcome to sign up responsible teenage members of your family to fulfill jobs at the meet as well in your place or in addition to your job. We are happy to sign service hour forms if your teen needs service hours!

Before you sign up for you jobs, please review descriptions of our jobs.
