Heat Sheets & Meet Details
June 13th
Its meet time Wahoos!
We sent an email yesterday with a lot of details, but a few reminders…
- Arrive at Olive Chapel no later than 5:15
- Park on the street (or the lot if there is space still) on the streets marked on the attached map. You may get a parking violation if you don’t park in the right place!
- Swimmer Check in - We are asking that when you arrive at the pool, ALL SWIMMERS need to check in with Beth Bearrows. She will be located at a table under a tent right at the front part of our section of the pool. (See attached map). This will help us tremendously to know that everyone is here before the meet starts! You can also get your swimmers number at this time.
- Volunteer Check in - If you are volunteering, please check in with Katie Dickson when you arrive. She will be at the table with Beth where swimmers are checking in.
- Swim Caps - we will be passing out swim caps at the swimmer check in table. There will be a silver sharpie to write your name on your cap. Please do so, they all look the same (and the kids look the same in the caps!) Shirts are on the way but delayed. They will not be ready tomorrow. We will get them to you as soon as we get them.
- Entries - As you have probably noticed, we have a very big team this year. This is awesome and exciting! However, because we have so many swimmers, we are not able to swim every single swimmer in every single event or stroke in every single meet. If we did, we would be at the pool until midnight. (seriously, we would!) Our coaches have put swimmers in the events that they think is best for each swimmer as well as what is best for the whole team and the length of the meet. Everyone will get an opportunity to swim every stroke/event at some point during the season, just not necessary all in one meet! Thanks for understanding our need to do this a little differently this year.
- It will be HOT tomorrow. Please plan accordingly. Bring plenty of water, shoes for the kids on the deck, lots of water, a tent for your family, and lots of water. A hand held spay bottle is a good way to keep cool or a battery powered fan. And, lots of water.
- Attached you will find the heat sheet, map for where to park, map of the layout of the Olive Chapel Pool & swimmer numbers.
See you at Olive Chapel at 5:15!
