Welcome Back Wahoos!

We are so excited to be getting this season started very soon! This email has a lot of important information so please take a minute and read it all.

PRE-SEASON TO DO LIST

1. Declare your intent for swim meets. This is SO very important. We need you to let us know for EACH child and for EACH meet if you guys will be there. Please go to https://walden-creek.swimtopia.com/swim_meets to declare your intent for EACH meet.


2. Order your team suit. We will be using the same suit again this year. Please visit https://walden-creek.swimtopia.com/equipment for more information. You will need to go to All American Swim in Cary to order your suit. Please go ahead and do this now.


3. Get the rest of your gear! In addition to your team suit, swimmers should have quality goggles to bring with them to practice each day. Additionally, this year we are hoping to start using swim fins during practice for certain technique exercises. We will be providing some for general use, but if you are able to provide your own for your swimmer, you will ensure they have the best size for them.

IMPORTANT DATES

• MAY 15 — First Day of Practice & Pizza Party Parents Meeting
  • Please plan to stick around on May 15 for a pizza party and a parents meeting. We will have pizza dinner around 7pm and a parents meeting at 7:30. There will be games and activities for the kids. Please plan to attend. Order your pizza for your family here: https://walden-creek.swimtopia.com/meet-dinner .  We will also have a "suit swap" at this meeting. Bring your old suit and bring home one in a new size!

6&U Swimmer Evaluation

• On the first day of practice, May 15, we will be having a swim evaluation for ALL swimmers in the 6&U age group. We will be checking to be sure all swimmers are placed in the appropriate swim group for their level of experience. More about that here: https://walden-creek.swimtopia.com/juniorwahoos

Weekday Concessions

• We are looking for a few folks to be a part of a team working together to run our weekday concessions stand. If you are interested in helping out during the week instead of on meet night, please contact [email protected] for more information.
